This medium-sized, family-feel Commercial and Industrial Construction company is looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Officer to join their South Melbourne-based team. Established for 25 years, the business is growing rapidly with 10 projects booked for this year and projected to complete 15-20 projects in 2024. They are a close-knit, collaborative and passionate team that has a playful culture with serious intent.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Director and General Manager, manage the Accounts Payable function for the business as well as providing administration support to the wider finance team. Responsible for the End-to-End Accounts Payable duties, enter invoices into Xero, process and code payments, reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and take ownership of your role as a whole. You will be a valued member of this collaborative team and will have the opportunity to grow into high-level finance tasks.

**Duties**
- Obtaining all the supporting information for the incoming invoices
- Entering invoices into Xero
- Verifying expense reports and querying invoice items from internal and external stakeholders
- Processing and coding payments - including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Filing and maintaining supplier records
- Checking and verifying invoices
- Reconciling Invoices and Supplier Statements
- Preparing supplier batch payments on a monthly basis
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger
- Verify and investigate discrepancies

**Skill & Experience**
- Minimum of 1 years experience completing Accounts Payable
- Experience within medium size construction business and a high-volume processing environment highly desirable
- High-level attention to detail and organisation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Xero
