**The role**:
Opportunity for an AIC Manager to join our team based at Garden Island Defence Precinct. We are seeking a leader who can comprehend the intricacies of Australian Industry Capability (AIC), and make a positive contribution to our business objectives by supporting the ongoing management of sustainment activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing initiatives and strategies to improve and grow the AIC within the Supply Chain.
- Supply Chain analysis, developing and implementing strategies to increase AIC opportunities with particular regard to SMEs, Veteran and Indigenous suppliers.
- Global and political analysis to determine supply chain impacts, strengths and weaknesses
- Development and coordination of emerging suppliers
- Expenditure milestones and performance of Contract deliverables.
- Execute, monitor and report on AIC Plan, activities, deliverables and initiatives.
- Maximise Australian Entity Participation and support the development of local and diverse businesses.
- Deliver supplier management services, controls, reports to achieve contractual KPIs and supply chain metrics.
- Supplier relationship management, ensuring best capability is delivered to our customer
- Conducting regular gap analyses to identify training requirements for subcontractors and suppliers in the region.

**How about you?**
- Graduate qualifications or equivalent experience in supply chain management, business, project management or a commercial discipline
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Defence sector in Australia
- Strong experience working with suppliers and delivering AIC outcomes
- Knowledge of Navy engineering and maintenance systems will be desirable
- Knowledge of Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS) will be desirable
