About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will partner with package leads to plan, source, and manage end-to-end procurement requirements for the Jericho project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sourcing and purchasing activity in coordination with package leads in line with the project schedule.
  • Review and implement a competitive tendering process and contract management system.
  • Assist with developing a suite of template documentation for tenders, contract engagement, and contract management.
  • Prepare tender and contract documentation to support an end-to-end tender process (with assistance from legal counsel as required).
  • Coordinate and finalize contractual negotiations, scopes of work, and commercial risk analysis.
  • Coordinate owner's team supply and logistical requirements.
  • Lead contractual variations requirements and assessments.
  • Lead and oversee project risk management practices and requirements including the project risk register.
  • Assist finance representatives with cost accounting and management accounting.
  • With package leads, drive and ensure the health, safety, environment, and people performance of contractor groups.
  • Lead and coordinate modern slavery and other governance due diligence across the Jericho project supply chain.
About You

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous and strategic self-starter with a wide breadth of procurement and project experience, preferably with hard rock mining experience.

  • Familiar with a wide range of procurement and construction contracts with confidence to draft and negotiate.
  • Bachelor or postgraduate qualification(s) in law, commerce, or engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery.
  • Knowledge of contract law within a construction setting.
  • A working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation and practice.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
