Public Sector People are partnered with Council in Melbourne's east who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Development Officer to work on a contract basis until January 2024.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and vitality of Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
**Key Responsibilities**: As a Community Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing relationships within Whitehorse's neighbourhood houses and community centres. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee stakeholder relationships for neighbourhood houses and community centres.
- Collaborate on programs, events, and initiatives with the Community Engagement and Development team.
- Provide project support across various community portfolios.
**Key Requirements for Success**:
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including report writing.
- Drive for continuous process improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in social sciences, health, or community development (desirable).
- Proven project and/or event management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Council systems such as EPathway.
