**Your New Role**

You will be contributing to telling the Development Victoria story. Working within our dynamic Corporate Affairs & Engagement Team, the Communications & Engagement Advisor will provide support in developing and implanting communications strategies for our projects, predominantly within our housing portfolio.

**Core Accountabilities**
- Assist in developing and implementing communications plans and strategies to support our projects under delivery.
- Idenfitying issues and risks and developing communications plans or approaches to mitigate or minimise negative impacts.
- Support the development and implementation of community engagement strategies to positively position Development Victoria.
- Provide high quality content across print and online channels to positively engage intended audiences and achieve measurable improvement of Development Victoria’s presence and profile.
- Translate complex, technical, and sensitive content into plain English for communication strategies, action plans, community bulletins, work notices and correspondence.
- Manage internal client relationships to maintain clear and open lines of communication and ensure relevant sign off/approvals are obtained for communications materials.

**Skills and Education**
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a relevant discipline
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to develop clear, high-quality communication materials obtained from a variety of sources
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a communications role
- Experience of liaising with local communities and stakeholders (desirable)
- Exposure to the property or infrastructure sector, or experience within a government environment (desirable)
