**The Position**

**St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Services **is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW providing acute community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. St John of God Health Care provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District within this facility.

An opportunity is available in our close-knit team for an E**mergency Department Receptionist** to join on a **casual** basis.

In this role, you will efficiently manage a variety of tasks and priorities, using established processes to ensure excellent customer service and admission procedures. Your highly developed communication skills, passion for client care and customer-focused service compliments your time management and ability to work autonomously or within a team.

- A minimum of one (1) year experience, preferably in a health care setting, including switchboard operations and the ability to manage a complex front line reception environment.
- Demonstrated experience in clerical and administrative procedures and the delivery of outstanding customer service in a welcoming manner.
- Demonstrated experience with handling complaints and difficult situations and the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written using polite and appropriate language at all times.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure and work with mínimal supervision.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to show initiative and be proactive.
- Experience working as part of a successful multi-disciplinary team.
- Willingness to undertake further professional development and/or training.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computerised systems.
- Must be available to work evening and night shifts including weekends and Public Holidays; also to cover additional shifts when required.

- Salary**:$58,260 - $59,384** + 10.5% superannuation
