**About the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA)**:
NOPTA is responsible for the day-to-day administration of petroleum and greenhouse gas titles in Commonwealth waters in Australia. NOPTA is the first point of contact for matters relating to offshore titles administration. The Registrar administers licences for offshore renewable energy projects, including transmission and related infrastructure in Australian Commonwealth waters. Staff supporting the Registrar are located within the NOPTA Branch.
**About the Regulatory Support Team**:
The Regulatory Support Team (RST) supports NOPTA’s operations through liaison with the NOPTA Branch and Department of Industry, Science and Resources’ (DISR), Offshore Resources Branch and Offshore Strategy Branch on administrative, policy and legislative matters relating to the _Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 _(OPGGS Act). The RST also works with other areas of the NOPTA Branch to prepare submissions and input into various policy and legislative change, and reviews and develops procedures, guidelines and fact sheets that affect the operations of NOPTA in its titles administration functions.
The RST and LST managers, and their teams are expected to work closely together.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Proven experience in creating productive and collaborative relationships.
**What you will do**:
- Lead and manage the Regulatory Support Team
- Manage the coordination of NOPTA’s input to DISR’s policy work on OPGGS Act related matters.
- Oversee the development of papers, submissions and reports on regulatory and legislative matters.
- Manage the coordination of NOPTA’s input to DISR led legislative reforms and the review of legislation.
- Work with the Legislative Support Team manager to provide comments to DISR on drafting instructions and legislative drafts.
- Manage the implementation of legal advice, working with the operational areas of NOPTA and the Legislative Support Team.
- Oversee the development and/or review of external guidance materials, website materials and internal procedures relating to the OPGSG Act.
- Work closely with managers within NOPTA and Legislative Support Team on regulatory support matters.
