The Manager – Group Customer Compliance is a senior retail regulatory specialist who leads the regulatory advisory function for the Customer business unit. This role provides strategic direction for compliance matters to ensure the best outcomes for customers and the business.

  • Lead a team of compliance professionals in providing regulatory advice for the Customer business unit.
  • Provide deep expertise in compliance advice and investigation of compliance issues with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement with regulators on compliance matters and manage compliance reporting and information provision.
  • Understand regulator priorities and communicate with relevant business areas.
  • Prepare and present Compliance Performance reports for Executive Leadership Team and Regulatory Compliance Board Subcommittee.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Executive leadership and operational personnel.
  • Drive a compliance culture, build awareness, and capability across the organisation.

About You:

This role requires a deep understanding of energy retail rules and experience in the retail energy sector. You will have expertise in energy compliance from a legal, audit, or risk functional background, as well as complementary experience in senior roles.

  • Extensive experience in the retail energy sector with deep expertise in energy compliance.
  • Complementary experience in senior commercial, operational, or communications roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and operationalising policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Well-developed people leadership skills and the ability to harness talent to deliver great outcomes.
