Are you a dynamic HR professional looking to make a difference? We're seeking an experienced adviser or junior BP to join our busy national business line, delivering impactful HR support and leading clerk and graduate recruitment in Canberra.
**Your New Role**:
- Collaborate with leaders and partners to manage resources aligned with firm strategy.
- Act as an ambassador for the HR team in the Canberra office, supporting people locally and championing the Early Careers program.
- Manage employee relations issues, coaching leaders for impactful conversations.
- Identify HR needs, deliver projects, and lead change initiatives alongside the Talent Experience Manager and Head of Talent.
- Contribute to action planning post-engagement surveys and workforce planning.
- Work with the resourcing team to ensure optimal team composition.
- Collaborate with the Talent Development team to identify skill gaps and enhance capabilities.
- Assist in annual HR initiatives such as performance reviews, promotions, talent planning and remuneration review.
- Conduct exit and stay interviews for key roles and contribute to ad-hoc projects.
**About You**:
- 3+ years of experience at an adviser level.
- Strong understanding of employment relations and policies.
- Strong relationship building, influencing skills, and commercial understanding across all areas.
- Ability to assess situations, understand potential risks and rewards, and escalate of decide as appropriate.
- Proactive mindset, high resilience, and focus on personal development.
- Thrives working independently and as part of the national team
- Exposure to managing ill health, performance cases or complex HR matters.
