- Full-time, fixed term contract until 12 January 2024
- Salary Band: $93,165 - $99,759 (Level ARAS) $104,838 - $123,873 (level BRF) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About the Role**

The Research Associate/Research Fellow will carry out research and development activities that will contribute to Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC) research project conducted jointly by UniSA and MIMOSA, titled ‘Requirements, Specifications and Piloting of Interoperable Ecosystem Cluster Management’.

**Core Responsibilities**

LEVEL ARAS
- Undertake research under limited supervision to achieve project grant outcomes in the area of Inter-Enterprise Interoperability in a hands-on capacity on the ‘Requirements, Specifications and Piloting of Interoperable Ecosystem Cluster Management’ project and within the environment of the AI and Software Engineering laboratory, Industrial AI Research Centre
- Provide advice to post graduate students in the appointee’s area of expertise
- Undertake day-to-day management of the research project to achieve project milestones, contribute to new ideas and approaches to support the development of innovative technologies
- Design, develop and perform evaluations on prototype system developed together with FEnEx CRC partners or used within the FEnEx CRC context
- Prepare or contribute to the preparation of refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the research

LEVEL BRF
- Conduct high-quality research project independently or under limited supervision and in collaboration with industry and other stakeholders
- Conceptualise and conduct research, analysis, and development in the area of Inter-Enterprise Interoperability in a hands-on capacity on the ‘Requirements, Specifications and Piloting of Interoperable Ecosystem Cluster Management’ project and within the environment of the AI and Software Engineering laboratory, Industrial AI Research Centre
- Undertake day-to-day management of the research project to achieve project milestones, contribute to new ideas and approaches to support the development of innovative technologies
- Design, develop and perform evaluations on prototype system developed together with FEnEx CRC partners or used within the FEnEx CRC context
- Independently or under limited supervision, communicate research outcomes in both verbal and written form including presentations and reports to the research team

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- A PhD or equivalent relevant experience in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (for Research Associate); a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline and relevant research experience (for Research Fellow Level)
- Evidence of high-quality research output (conferences or journals) commensurate with the length of the research career in the fields of data modelling, data management, organisational IT/IS, or requirements engineering
- Demonstrable software development skills for the purpose of developing research prototypes (or better)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated through written work such as research reports, research publications and educational materials, and through effective liaison with external partners, colleagues and students
- Ability to plan and execute research and other project activities with stakeholders
