**Reports To **Director of Information and Communication Technology

**Position Summary **The Helpdesk Learning Technologies Support staff member will assist in the

development of technology-based instructional support material and where

needed in technology-based training of staff and students for the main systems in

use in the college. The incumbent will work closely with teachers and the Director

of Information and Communication Technology and may be required to conduct

learning technologies will be required. Duties in the provision of Helpdesk

services to staff and students at times of high need may be necessary.

The successful applicant will be an active member of the Information Services

team who enjoys working in a busy, friendly environment where the provision of

service to staff and students of the College for the promotion of innovative

technology use is at the forefront.

This will be a cross-campus position.

**Review**

The Helpdesk Learning Technologies Support will establish work performance

goals with the Director of Information and Communication Technology within

the first school term of appointment to the position. The incumbent’s performance

against these goals will be based on the key responsibilities, qualities and skills

associated with the position. Goals will be reviewed annually.

**Key Responsibilities Develop and provide learning technology-based instructional support and**

**assist in training for staff and students**
- Maintain appropriate technical knowledge to support the end-user needs for

StaffHub, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Suite, and COMPASS
- Monitor and provide timely information regarding implementation of updates
- Participate in and support training opportunities for members of the school

community in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Apple Applications and
COMPASS
- Based on staff queries, identify and suggest possible improvements on

procedures and processes
- Train other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, when

required
- Endorse and support staff education and training to reduce repeat contacts to

the Helpdesk Ticketing system
- Monitor technological advancements and trends in the provision of new

services and learning technologies and provide support and testing for
implementation where needed
- Provide appropriate support materials needed for the coordination of training

initiatives including induction, rollout and onboarding programs for staff,
- Assist in the researching of new technology requirements for the College
- Provide technical advice during the planning processes for the development

of the Technology Management Annual Action Plan
- Liaise with and assist the Application Lead when delegated duties to provide

support
- Actively seek and participate in external specialised training courses to

enhance upskilling in support of the College’s needs
- Undertake other related duties as directed by the Director of Information and

Communication Technology

**Provide Helpdesk services to staff and students at times of high need**
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and

issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and peripherals
- Respond to common requests for support by providing information to enable

problem resolution
