The roleThe Executive Officer is responsible for providing high quality strategic analysis and advice to the Tribunal President in relation to corporate, governance, financial, and performance management of the Tribunal. The position is responsible for the management, leadership and direction of the Tribunal office and the state-wide strategic planning and development of the Tribunal to enhance organisational quality and effectiveness.
- have the skills to provide high level support to the President and Deputy President through delivery of authoritative advice based on analysis of applicable legislation and policy, including the preparation of high quality comprehensive briefings, reports and correspondence.
- have demonstrated experience in managing and leading people and teams.
- have the ability to provide strategic direction and leadership in developing and evaluating policies, systems and practices to ensure all Tribunal activities meet statutory requirements and accepted national and international standards for Tribunals.
- will have the ability to lead the development and realisation of strategic and operational plans and initiatives to promote growth and development of the Tribunal in a changing environment in line with legislative principles, operational objectives and national and international trends.
- will have demonstrated experience in effective procurement and contract management across the organisation to achieve cost optimisation, deliver value for money, and to promote the organisation's interests.
- have the skills to guide the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships, cross-sectional stakeholder engagement and networks across the public, private and non-government sectors, including people with a lived or living experience.
- have the confidence and connections to represent the Tribunal in a range of senior executive level forums, meetings and committees at a state and national level.
- are a leader who thinks strategically, embodies personal integrity, has political astuteness, commercial acumen, resilience and are a team player.
