Cabin Coordinator- Maintenance Operations Centre

As the Cabin Coordinator you will deliver specialist technical assistance and support to ensure continuing safety, airworthiness, compliance, serviceability, and operational performance of Qantas aircraft cabin infrastructure (excluding IFE and onboard WiFi products). In addition, you will actively seek to improve the delivery of cabin operational appearance and performance by utilising performance data such as trends, recurring defects and systemic issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll have:
- Working knowledge and experience of Civil Aviation regulations and other regulations governing industrial workforce management (OH&S, Industrial Relations, Environment, EEO etc).
- Familiarity with maintenance manuals and other systems and documentation utilised during aircraft maintenance.
- Sound communication skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing to agreed and measurable performance thresholds.
- Proven track record in planning, & business management and understanding of quality systems.
- Specialised knowledge of QF aircraft fleet.
- Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma and audit standards & methodologies an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in team/shift & day of operations environment to deliver operational objectives.
- Lateral thinker & planner, capable of operating under pressure to achieve immediate outcomes.
- Committed team player, willing to challenge & debate issues & commit to implementation of agreed outcomes.
- Articulate two-way communicator & influencer.
- Cert IV in Aero skills or an Australian certificate of proficiency as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is highly desirable.
- Willing to work flexible roster for possible 7-day operational coverage.
