**Selection Criteria**:

**Role**:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible through the Facilities Manager for the security, repair, maintenance and services of facilities at both campuses of Mill Park Secondary College to ensure that they meet the needs of the school and its employees and students.
The position requires attendance for duty during all school holiday periods, and attracts 20 days annual leave per year.
**Responsibilities**:
Select and maintain equipment ready for use in accordance with school procedures and manufacturer¿s instructions. Carry out simple repairs where possible. Record faulty and broken equipment in register.
Commute between campuses as required.
Assist the College gardener when required.
Assist in the preparation of equipment, and the purchasing, collection or delivery of materials as required.
Liaise with suppliers and tradespeople to promote and maintain good relations.
Ensure deliveries of goods are correct, report any discrepancies and distribute to relevant staff members or store accordingly.
Perform minor building repairs, i.e doors, windows, painting etc.
Carry out general maintenance as required
Coordinate the preparation and setting up for any special events, eg exams, production, art exhibitions etc
Maintain student lockers at both campuses.
Participate in staff meetings as necessary.
Act as an emergency contact for the Department of Education and Training if required.
Undertake training in Occupational Health and Safety and be aware of the requirements relating to paperwork to enable the PRMS database to be accurate at all times.
Other duties as direct by the Facilities Manager and Senior Management staff.
Other duties may be directed by the Facilities Manager or Principal as required
