- Two Case Officer VPS 3 roles available within the Human Rights Division. One on a fixed term contract for 11 months and the other is offered as an ongoing role.
- VCAT is seeking a service oriented, highly organised Case Officer to work as part of a team within our Human Rights Division.
- The successful applicant will have an opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the Victorian community by delivering effective and efficient guardianship and human rights services.

**About the role**

This will incorporate administrative and business functions with a strong customer focus designed to promote awareness and understanding of VCAT processes and legislative requirements.

Their main focus is ensuring cases are ready for hearing and parties are prepared so the VCAT Member is able to make an informed decision.

Case Officers individually manage a caseload of around 80-140 cases at a given time. All cases vary in risk and complexity, and are at various stages of the VCAT process.

- Guardianship and Administration Act 2019
- Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016
- Powers of Attorney Act 2014
- Equal Opportunity Act 2010
- Health Records Act 2001
- Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014
- Disability Act 2006
- Mental Health Act 2014
