HOBAN Recruitment is currently partnering with a respected **VIC Local Council **in the search for a highly capable individual to join as a **Risk And Infringements Officer **located in **Lilydale, VIC**.

**What's in it for you**:

- 3-month assignment, opportunity for contract to be extended
- $38.29 per hour + super
- Located in Lilydale, VIC

**About the role**:

- To ensure the efficient operation of the Infringements and Appeals and Prosecution processes in accordance with relevant legislation.
- To ensure that the evidence required to successfully prosecute infringements is correct prior to lodging infringements at court.
- To manage and resolve Council's general insurance claims with a particular focus on minimising cost and reducing the potential for exposure to Council.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Analyse existing claims management processes and systems and practices and make recommendation on areas requiring improvement.
- Analyse information from a variety of sources to detect trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships
- Review individual infringements appeals and prosecutions to determine whether to withdraw or proceed with the infringement action in line with statutory requirements
- Build strategic relationships with a wide range of external groups, including residents, external groups including other Councils, Insurers, claims management agents, lawyers, courts, and internal stakeholders.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Relevant experience or formal qualifications with some relevant experience
- Victorian Drivers Licence
