The Parking Services Branch works to ensure the availability and turnover of car parking spaces across the city to maximise the benefits of on-street vehicle parking for businesses, residents and visitors.

The Infringement Review Officer is responsible for determining outcomes to objections submitted by customers, preparing high quality responses in writing and providing advice or further explanation over the phone. The role is guided by the City of Melbourne’s Infringement Review Guidelines and the branch's policies and procedures.

**Selection Criteria**

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to prepare high quality responses to complex customer correspondence.

In addition, the **Infringement Review Officer **will ideally have the following;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to relevant regulations - preferred but not required
- Experience in exercising appropriate discretion with regards to Acts and legislation, Acts or local laws, or proven ability to quickly develop the knowledge required - preferred but not required
