building contractors in the Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure sectors, with a variety

of plant and equipment, especially modern tower cranes & hoists.

We are seeking the services of an indigenous affairs and operations administrator for our

plant yard based in Altona North, VIC. This is a progressive opportunity, coaching and

support available for you to progress within the business.

**The Role**:

- Managing industrial relations and networks.
- Coordinating with industrial charitable organisations and employment agencies.
- Advancing indigenous programs within the organisation.
- Audit and actively chase monthly service reports.
- Control and report on all documentation is being sent by each department and suppliers.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to ensure reliability of reports.
- Facilitate communication from Operations Team to Internal Team.
- Create forms and reports as required.
- Actively involved in all ISO documentation and associated actions to ensure Murrina

maintains current certification/ISO ratings.
- Promptly report to TMG Management and Site Management personnel such as Site

Manager, Project Managers, etc relevant tasks/events on site.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Indigenous communities.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of Indigenous employment training

program within the organisation.
- Research and monitor Indigenous policies, practices, and protocols, and make

recommendations to improve Indigenous engagement and outcomes within the
organisation.
- Participate in consultation sessions with Indigenous communities and provide support for

negotiations and agreements.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate Indigenous perspectives and priorities

into policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Attend and participate in Indigenous-related events, conferences, and meetings to keep

abreast of emerging issues and trends.
- Manage industrial relations and networks.

- Provide friendly, efficient administrative support in the development and maintenance of

existing/new industry relationships.
- Support Operations Team with quotes and suppliers’ inquiries.
- Assist with purchase requests from the Operational team.
- Participate of the planning meetings and take notes and minutes when required.
- Follow-up team members on deadlines.
- Ensure times-sheets are timely and correctly done.
- Assist to compile and maintain HSE documentations.
- Be proactive and insightful on day-to-day tasks and reporting.
- Maintain the asset register with current location and asset numbers.
- Notify the relevant personnel (TMG and Project) of any issues that may arise.
- Create standard documentation for auditing and controlling purposes.
- Maintain impeccable paperwork traceability for all activities executed (site or Yard).
- Completing general duties as required on a daily basis.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Team to create and improve Quality Control

documentation.

**Skills and Proficiencies**:

- An understanding of plant & equipment in the construction or hire industries.
- Experience in Indigenous community engagement and relationship building.
- Knowledge of Indigenous histories, cultures, and traditions.
- Knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.
- An ability to prepare written content for various audiences, including general

correspondence and research reports.
- Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills and experience in a team

environment, including the ability to plan projects, juggle priorities, and work to deadlines
with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and take ownership.
- Have completed three years of tertiary study or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Be highly organised with good time management skills to work in a fast-paced and

changing workplace.
- Attention to detail & a positive "can do" attitude.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Competent in utilising IT systems to record the activities and keep traceability.
- Leadership, direction, responsibility, accountability.
