Holmesglen Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and professional Ward Clerk to join our Medical Ward Unit. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.

Holmesglen Private Hospital is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services

**As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include**:

- Greeting patients, families and other customers
- Liaising with Doctors and nursing staff to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the ward
- Preparation of patient files, appointment lists and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files
- Medical record filing
- Providing clerical support to the clinical team
- Liaison with allied health, wardspersons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous experience as a ward clerk on a medical or surgical ward is essential
- WebPas Patient Administration System user knowledge and experience ideal but not essential
- Ability to work within the team and prioritise administration tasks with mínimal direction
- Good understanding of medical terminology
- Good communication and excellent customer service skills
- Commitment to service excellence
- Ability to prioritise and organise work, with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High level attention to detail
