Our Patient Services Team have several vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as Ward Clerks.

**As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include**:

- Perform a broad range of administration duties
- Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
- Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as admissions, pre-admissions, fund eligibility checks and other administrative duties
- Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
- Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care under the supervision of Nurse Managers

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We offer tertiary referral services in the centre of Parkville. Melbourne Private Hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers. The ICU is a 10 bed unit.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- WebPas Hospital system experience (desired)
- Experience in an acute patient focused Healthcare facility/Hospital (desired)
