As a Dispatch Officer / Customer Service Officer (CSO), you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing the delivery of our clients products to their customers, primarily through external freight contractors. This multifaceted role requires constant communication with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders, including Operations, Customer-Facing Staff (Schedulers, Account Managers, CSOs, etc.), to meet and exceed the clients customer expectations. The hours for this role are either 5am till 1pm Monday to Friday or 8:30am till 4:30pm Monday to Friday

**Description**

The key responsibilties will be.
- Dispatch and Logistics: Coordinate and schedule product deliveries through external freight contractors to ensure on-time delivery (DIFOT - Delivery In Full, On Time).
- Cost Efficiency: Work on reducing freight costs per ton while maximising freight recovery per ton.
- Customer Service: Assist with answering sales inquiries, order taking, and addressing customer concerns to provide exceptional service.
- Safety: Ensure that safety protocols are followed during dispatch operations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to dispatch activities.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as required.

**Profile**

To be considered for this role you will need to have the following.
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or customer service roles is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a positive working environment.
- Flexibility to handle varying workloads and occasional overtime.
