Sydney, Australia Children's Cancer Institute Full time

We save and change lives. At Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) we believe that a life should be long. Cancer cuts life short for hundreds of children every year, before they’ve even had a chance to make their mark. We aim to not only improve their quality of life but eradicate the cause of their pain.

As the only independent medical research institute in Australia focused on childhood cancer, our purpose is to translate and discover (through world class research), new treatments that will cure cancer and reduce the side effects in children and adolescents.

Choose to be part of a team that will nurture your talent, so you too can contribute to this purpose. Together, we can and we will cure all children of cancer. It’s not if. It’s when.

The Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre (MCCCC) is Australia’s first dedicated comprehensive cancer centre for children. Representing a new era of collaboration between clinicians and scientists, the MCCCC promises to transform experiences and outcomes for children with cancer and their families.

As our Change, Communications and Engagement Specialist you will support CCI’s transition as we move into the MCCCC. The position will play an important role in co-designing and delivering people-focused change, communications and engagement initiatives and activities, ensuring our people are ready and excited to move in late 2025.

**As our Change, Communications and Engagement Specialist your purpose will be to**:

- Build and activate impactful change, engagement and communication plans to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for our people.
- Coordinate the delivery of onboarding and training activities and events to ensure people are ready, well-informed and equipped to transition into the MCCCC.
- Facilitate two-way forums and feedback channels to encourage open dialogue and obtain insights about our transition.
- Engage and empower our leaders and champions to support the transition.
- Undertake pragmatic change assessments with leaders across key workstreams.
- Represent and champion change, engagement and communications activities at internal meetings and with our external partners.

**To succeed you will have**
- Experience in building and implementing practical engagement and communications plans which delivered an outstanding employee experience during change.
- Demonstrated success in engaging diverse groups of leaders and employees during a complex workplace change, move or transition.
- Experience in multi-channel employee communication and engagement campaigns including digital platforms.
- Expertise in creating clear, compelling, employee-focused communications including content development skills.
- Exceptional coaching and influencing skills, the ability to build creative and pragmatic solutions and high levels of agility and resilience to deliver on competing priorities.

**We will support you to be your best with benefits that include but are not limited to**:

- Access to our ‘FlexBEST’ program - true flexibility from day 1
- Focus on employee wellbeing, including up to 5 gifted wellbeing days off (paid) per year
