Community Relations Specialist

The Community Relations Specialist - Aboriginal Engagement is a pivotal position within our MacKillop Seasons team in the MacKillop Clinical Services Division. Our team provides evidence-based change, loss and grief programs to support children, young people and adults in schools and communities.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to engage, develop and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander companions, stakeholders, and communities for the promotion, update and delivery of the Seasons suite of programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to promote the Seasons program among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Built strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and individuals to ensure successful program implementation and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the broader Seasons team to provide internal and external reports on program progress, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, values, and current challenges affecting their communities.
- Formal qualifications and/or work experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community development, health, community services, or project management fields.
- Proven ability to coordinate effective community and stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
