An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Team Leader to join a dynamic team at Brandbank and use their expertise to ensure the seamless processing of payroll.
As the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading and assisting our payroll team to ensure the effective administration of payroll services. This includes overseeing the preparation of weekly and monthly payroll, managing employee-related information, and ensuring compliance with relevant industrial instruments.
**THE ROLE**:
- Assist to lead the team as the 2IC to Payroll Manager, ensuring processing is completed within agreed timeframes
- Processing of the fortnightly payroll for our Retail team members, via our Time & Attendance and payroll system
- Processing of monthly payroll for corporate team members in our Support Office
- Input details of new team members into MicrOpay, including the processing of taxation, banking and superannuation details
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and legislation reporting
- Respond to payroll queries from store teams or management in a timely manner
- Review terminations A/L and LSL calculations in accordance with legislation
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
- Minimum 3+ years experience in similar position (Retail Industry preferred)
- Sound knowledge of MicrOpay or similar payroll system (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of Humanforce (Timetarget) Time and Attendance System preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of awards and award classifications; Modern Retail Award
- Proficiency in all MS Office Programs (Intermediate to advanced Excel Skills: VLOOKUP & pivot tables)
- Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- An understanding of the payroll cycle and processes
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills
