**Purpose of the role**
We are recruiting a Procurement Specialist role to join our Finance and Corporate Services team. This a stand-alone position tasked with establishing a Procurement function.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Vendor relationship management to ensure that contracted SLA’s are met.
- Contract management so that entering, renewing, extending and terminating contracts comply with legal requirements and are planned to maximize negotiation leverage use
- Assist in the development of Procurement policies and processes.
- Develop and implement a vendor selection process that ensures the best outcome for Achieve.
- Vendor verification to ensure all licenses, insurance, clearances and policy compliances are in place.
- Ad hoc and project responsibilities as required.
**About you**
- Relevant experience within the procurement field.
- Specialist knowledge of procurement concepts, processes activities and trends Strong relationship and negotiation skills.
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, coupled with people and project management skills.
- Proactive, autonomous and capable of self-starting tasks/projects with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understands confidentiality and works with integrity
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office program suite and ability to learn how to use other computer software
- Preferred qualifications and membership with Procurement Associations and Professional Associations
