Efficient Living Group Pty Ltd is a leading online shopping platform for high-quality home furnishings, dedicated to providing customers with stylish, durable, and affordable furniture options. Our commitment is to source the finest furniture pieces that combine beauty and functionality, enabling our clients to create their ideal living spaces.
Your duties include but not limited to:
1. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that align with the organization's quality, cost, and reliability requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality of goods.
2. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing and delivery schedules, to secure the best possible deals for the company while ensuring that contracts meet legal and company standards.
3. Implement and oversee quality control measures for all procured items to ensure they meet or exceed the company's quality standards and customer expectations.
4. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to anticipate potential issues with product availability or price fluctuations and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
5. Manage inventory levels to ensure there is an adequate supply of products to meet customer demands without resulting in excess stock or shortages.
6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the procurement process without compromising quality or service.
7. Evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis to ensure they continue to meet the required standards of quality, delivery, and service. Address and resolve any supplier-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
8. Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement activity and supply chain performance to upper management.
9. Coordinate with external logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics companies to ensure smooth and efficient shipping and handling processes.
10. Oversee and manage the logistics process, including liaising with external partners to track shipments, resolve any transportation or customs issues, and ensure adherence to all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the procurement industry or in a related field.
- Familiarity with supply chain management, procurement strategies, and vendor negotiations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), enabling effective negotiation and relationship building with suppliers and team members.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong team-building skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, manage diverse teams, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, especially related to procurement strategies and vendor evaluation.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all procurement activities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as experience with inventory management systems.
