**Why do we need you?**

We are looking for a City Laws Officer to join our City Safety team with an outstanding level of customer service skills and excellent written & communication skills who can and is able to work independently, with effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload.

**About You**

As a City Laws Officer who is passionate about delivering high-quality services your responsibility/qualifications and expertise will include but not limited to:

- Certificate IV in Local Government Statutory Compliance (or similar), or preparedness and ability to obtain this qualification.
- Knowledge of the Domestic Animals Act, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, Environmental Protection Act, Fire Rescue Victoria Act, CFA Act Local Government Act, Road Safety Act, Road Rules - Victoria and Council's Local Laws.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare letters, reports, formal briefs of evidence and memoranda.
- Quality customer service and presentation skills that support a positive image of the organisation during difficult situations and an environment of conflict.
