**About - School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering**
The School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering encompasses both the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. This fusion of engineering disciplines provides a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment that is world leading in both research and teaching.

Our research covers a breadth of areas in biomaterials and tissue engineering; biomechanics and mechanobiology; bionics, biomedical imaging and neuroengineering; systems and synthetic biology. We have strong national and international linkages with industry, hospitals, research institutes, and universities.

We teach students within the Bioengineering Systems undergraduate majors in the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Biomedicine, and offer two Masters programs: Master of Engineering (Biomedical) and Master of Engineering (Biomedical with Business).

**About the Role**
The University of Melbourne and partners are developing programs focused on training and support for the Medtech industry in Victoria hosted at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) and the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD).

The Industry Project Officer for MedTech Programs will be responsible for the provision of high quality administrative support to the project’s operational activities as well as the implementation of strategic and business operational initiatives. Under the direction of the Industry Engagement Manager, the Industry Project Officer will provide comprehensive support for the Medtech Programs to interact with industry. They will develop and implement records management solutions across project activities, maintain project management software and stakeholder databases, organise meetings and events, support the implementation of Project Plans, coordinate contract and HR paperwork, and support the Project Directors and team.

It is necessary for the incumbent to manage competing demands, prioritise tasks effectively, ensure attention to detail, be self-directed in managing work assignments and be adept in dealing professionally with a range of stakeholders, offering them a high level of client service

Responsibilities Include:

- Developing strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely service delivery.
- Developing and implementing records management solutions, maintaining project management software and stakeholder databases.
- Preparing briefing notes, answering correspondence, coordinating contract and HR paperwork, preparing agendas and minutes and assisting with the drafting of documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Contributing to the organisation and delivery of meetings and events.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the ability to exercise judgement and maintain a high level of discretion, confidentiality and initiative at all times.

You will also have:

- Extensive administration experience and skills
- Demonstrated experience in interacting with external stakeholders, such as academic, industry and government partners.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills, including demonstrated experience in co-ordinating workflow, prioritising demands and effectively balancing competing demands
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
