**About the Role**
Ngarrngga (‘to know, to hear, to understand’ in Taungurung language) is a signature initiative of the University of Melbourne which aims to empower educators to teach Australian students about the depth and wealth of First Nations peoples’ histories, cultures and contributions to Australia. The Project is led by the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE) in partnership with the University of Melbourne’s Indigenous Knowledge Institute and Indigenous Studies Unit.

The Program Support Officer is embedded in the Ngarrngga team and is responsible for the provision of intuitive administrative support to the project’s operational activities as well as the implementation of strategic and business operational initiatives. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Program Support Officer will provide comprehensive support to the daily operations of Ngarrngga. They will develop and implement records management solutions across project activities, maintain project management software and stakeholder databases, organise meetings and events, support the implementation of Ngarrngga Plans and Frameworks, coordinate contract and HR paperwork, and support the Project Director and team.

It is necessary for the incumbent to manage competing demands, prioritise tasks effectively, ensure attention to detail, be self-directed in managing work assignments and be adept in dealing professionally with a range of stakeholders, offering them a high level of client service.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing project information and records management solutions/systems to streamline processes across project activities.
- Coordinating the execution and administration of agreements with partners, in particular educational settings (schools, early learning centres).
- Supporting Ngarrngga Governance Framework through providing secretariat functions for meetings and conferences.
- Maintaining a sound knowledge of current University Policy and Procedures, and reliably follow these or provide compliant advice to others.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will be highly self-motivated, with strong time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills to prioritise workloads to ensure that deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy. The incumbent must be equally adept at working independently as well as participating in a unit as an effective team member and have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.

You will also have:

- The appointee will have extensive administration experience and skills, and ideally knowledge of the education sector.
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency using computer and software packages including program management suites such as Monday.Com, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office suite of products in the production of project reports.
- Highly experienced in taking minutes and managing committee agendas.
- Demonstrated experience with the organisation of events
- Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to contribute to a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all project stakeholders.
