The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

**About the Position**

The Waste Services Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective engagement strategies and campaigns to promote best practices in waste management and disposal among residential and commercial customers. This position works closely with the Waste Operations team, external stakeholders, and the community to provide education, information, and feedback on Council’s waste services and initiatives.

**About You**
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging education initiatives and service programs that inspire residents and businesses to embrace sustainable waste practices.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of resource recovery processes.
- Proven excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver presentations, workshops and foster participation in the implementation of resource recovery education programs and initiatives.
- Provision of operational, technical, environmental & compliance expertise/support in all aspects of waste management service provision.
