**About the role**

The Student Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative support within WSUIC across a broad range of student services. The position acknowledges the interdependence of student and academic related matters, the importance of front facing support and back-office administration. The designation of activities may change over time.

We are seeking a fulltime Student Services Officer for 5 weeks on a casual contract basis to assist us during the busy period of Orientation and Enrolment. The preferred start date will be 19th February 2024.

**The person we seek will ideally have experience with the following**:
**Essential**:

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deal with competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skills
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to students and stakeholders.
- Provide high quality reception and student administration.
- Experience in organising student engagement activities (eg. events and excursions).
- Ability to independently resolve routine problems and issues
- Sense of responsibility and commitment to education
- Demonstrated computer literacy in standard operating systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Work experience in higher education sector, preferably in a commercial setting
