Melbourne, Australia Bupa Full time

**The opportunity**:
This role partners with the Bupa Optical & Hearing business to provide communications, Corporate Affairs and sustainability support and advice to help deliver on business priorities. Developing strong relationships across the business and your home team in Corporate Affairs, this role develops and executes integrated strategies for internal / external communications, stakeholder engagement and sustainability initiatives, with a focus on engaging people working in our 47 Bupa Optical & Hearing stores around Australia, as well as broader engagement with Bupa teams. This is a rewarding role, working with a dynamic business and passionate team.

**This is permanent role based in either the Melbourne or Sydney office. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)
**How will I help?**

**You will add value by**:

- Being a communications all-rounder, but with a particular focus on communications for internal, dispersed, customer-facing teams, driving engagement and understanding of strategy and business objectives.
- Being a trusted advisor who is deeply embedded in the business.
- Collaborating with the business and Corporate Affairs and Sustainability practitioners to develop and deliver communication plans to support business projects, change programs, sustainability activities, broader Bupa initiatives and reputation-building activity.
- Creating high-quality materials including key messages, presentations, intranet stories and employee campaign material, and managing internal communication channels.
- Being part of the Bupa Optical & Hearing leadership team and providing guidance, confidently offering your views and advising on communications, engagement and reputation matters.
- Identifying opportunities to share Bupa Optical & Hearing stories internally and externally.
- Supporting the businesses in their engagement with Bupa’s Sustainability strategy.
- Providing people and customer-focused advice on how to manage issues that may impact reputation.

**Why work at Bupa?**

We keep our people smiling by helping them improve their lives in and outside of the office.

We’re a welcoming lot, no matter who you are or where you’ve come from. We welcome all talents and backgrounds and embrace our differences, so you can bring your true self to work.

We support our people to be the best version of themselves, physically and mentally. With a healthy work/life balance, leadership support, reduced private health cover, study leave, volunteering options and a commitment to promoting from within.

Our employees can access wide range of benefits: from our own products (incl. health insurance discounts) to many other products and services via our partnerships program (like Apple, Samsung, JB Hi-Fi, plus gym and spa discounts to name a few). We reward our people and celebrate their success, provide initiatives that develop careers and look after our people’s health, wellbeing, and futures.

**What do I need?
You want to understand the business priorities and can develop meaningful communications for different audiences, appreciating the environment in which customer-facing teams work. You are confident working independently to define where you can have the most impact, and then collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver.

You love to find stories that showcase how a business is making a difference for its customers and people. Holding your own at the leadership team table, you enjoy building relationships and using your influencing skills to get the best outcome. You enjoy both planning and rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, while balancing competing demands.

A master of language, you have an excellent record of success in a range of communication techniques and channels, including high-level written and presentation skills. A tertiary qualification in Communications or business-related discipline is considered an asset.
