We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Government Relations and Public Policy Manager to join our team at IOOF Holdings Limited. This is a pivotal role in managing our corporate communications and contributing to our policy and advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and implement Insignia Financial's policy views, engaging with internal stakeholders and industry associations, and contributing to public policy consultations.
- Coordinate Insignia Financial representation on industry association working groups and develop centralized resources and meeting briefs.
- Manage the crisis management communications framework and assist with planning and preparation around key business events and the corporate reporting cycle.
- Maintain the IFL corporate website, including writing and updating content, and project manage the annual report.
- Work with other members of the Corporate Affairs team to ensure effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience in the financial services industry, in a public advocacy role and corporate affairs function is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of the political and regulatory landscape.
- Effective time management and ability to exercise appropriate judgment and understand the reputational impact of policy positions.
- Effective stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Skill in interpreting and assessing complex policy reforms for commercial impacts.
- Ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise communication.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in issues and crisis management.
