**About us**

At Transport, we're passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Our vision is to give everyone the freedom to choose how and when they get around, no matter where they live. Right now, we're delivering the largest infrastructure program Australia has ever seen - to keep people and goods moving, connect communities and shape the future of our cities, centres and regions. At Transport, we're also committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible workforce, which reflects the community and the customers we serve.

Our organisation - Transport for NSW - is comprised of numerous integrated divisions that focus on achieving community outcomes for the greater good and on putting our customers at the centre and our people at the heart of everything we do.

**About Active Transport**

Walking and cycling are integral to our transport system. Walking and cycling are key to place-making and access to public transport. Over a billion trips a year in NSW are made on foot or by bicycle, including around 600 million trips associated with a public transport journey. The NSW Government has committed to investing more than $950 million into walking and cycling infrastructure over a five year period between 2021 and 2026. This together brings the NSW Government’s total commitment to walking and cycling infrastructure to well over $1.5 billion over a 12 year period, the largest commitment in the State’s history.

Come and join the champions for walking and cycling in TfNSW with an exciting remit that takes a portfolio approach in directing, planning and delivering tangible and sustainable community facing outcomes. Active Transport is part of everything we do and critical for enabling and planning travel choices that are both human friendly and effective in supporting livable places. It is affordable, effective and available for the majority, enables our systems to be more resilient, and through change will allow more people to naturally make healthier lifestyle choices.
