Melbourne City Centre, Australia Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Full time

As the successful applicant, you will provide plan and survey services to enable Surveyor-General Victoria to support major government land reform projects and related business dealings. These projects currently include Immediate Protection Areas, Central West Investigation and Great Ocean Road Reform Projects. The role requires a sound knowledge of Victoria's cadastral and land information systems, land surveying and advanced capability with CAD software packages, to support the Senior Surveyors in the delivery of plan and surveying services for a variety of government projects.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Mandatory
- Minimum mandatory qualification is a Diploma in Surveying
- Sound knowledge of modern survey practices and demonstrated experience in carrying out cadastral surveys using of a wide range of survey equipment such as GNSS, levels, total stations, and ancillary equipment.
- Proven experience in preparing survey documentation to a high standard.

Desirable
- Minimum of five years' experience as a field party leader
- High level knowledge of Victoria's Crown survey requirements, land information records and related land surveying regulatory processes, and second examination of Crown survey documentation.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria.
