**About the Role**

The Research Funding Officer: CRC supports Manager: Research Project Development and Dean: Industry and Enterprise to capitalise on potential Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) research income funding opportunities for UniSA. The position is responsible for providing quality and timely business intelligence for the management and optimisation of UniSA investment and involvement in CRCs.

Working under general direction, the Research Funding Officer: CRC is responsible for the provision of proactive advice and services to the CRC Committee. The position supports researchers in developing research funding proposals that fulfil the requirements of the relevant CRCs, are of a high quality, competitive and meet key deadlines.

**Core Responsibilities**
- In collaboration with the Partner Engagement Team and Dean: Industry and Enterprise identify, promote and support opportunities for CRC project development. This will include:

- collating and advising CRC critical dates for project submission, guidelines, rules and conditions of awards to assist researchers to comply with specific CRC requirements
- supporting researcher capability mapping, which will inform the development of a strategic plan for each of the CRC that UniSA is committed to
- supporting researchers to improve their competitiveness in Engagement Income Funding by facilitating targeted experiential training, workshops, knowledge sharing and support from across UniSA
- working with Contracts Establishment Team to liaise with industry partners for execution of project agreements
- Develop and maintain business systems and processes to ensure collation of consistent, high quality business intelligence, and data that will enable accurate reporting for current CRC Programs that UniSA is committed to.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications and experience or significant relevant experience in a research administration environment
- Demonstrated ability to listen and assess the needs of clients, and experience in providing constructive feedback, advice and recommendations to a diverse range of stakeholders in a research context
- Experience in providing executive level secretariat support to committees in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing continuous improvement and efficiencies in business processes, including template design and report development
- Proven ability to understand and interpret policies, procedures, and funding requirements of external agencies.
