**About the Role**

We are seeking a Research Associate / Fellow to carry out research and development activities that will contribute to Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC) research project conducted jointly by UniSA and INPEX, titled ‘Asset Reliability and Risk Interoperability to Optimise Maintenance Execution and Improve Risk Management of Energy Producers’.

**About the Industrial AI Research Centre at UniSA**

**Core Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute research plans in the area of domain and metamodeling ontologies in a hands-on capacity
- Undertake day-to-day management of the research project to achieve project milestones and contribute to new ideas
- Design, develop and perform evaluations on prototype system developed together with FEnEx CRC partners or used within the FEnEx CRC context
- Prepare or contribute to the preparation of refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the research
- Supervise, train and support postgraduate students, internship students and visiting students, where appropriate

**Essential Skills and Experience**

**Level ARAS**
- A doctorate (or already submitted PhD thesis) in Computer Science or relevant discipline
- Evidence of high quality research output commensurate with the length of research career in the fields of ontologies, conceptual modelling and/or closely related areas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated through written work such as research reports, research publications and educational materials
- Ability to plan and execute testing and research with stakeholders

**Level BRF**
- A PhD in computer science or a relevant discipline
- Evidence of a strong track record of high-quality journal publications and conference presentations in the fields of ontologies, conceptual modelling and/or closely related areas
- Experience and strong research and development skills in data management, data integration, and related areas
- Knowledge of data architectures for analytics or service orchestration (desirable for ARAS & BRF)
