**About the role**:
The Professional Standards Command Human Resource and Governance Consultant will report to the Support Services Division Superintendent.
This role will be responsible for providing leadership and support to contribute to the Command through the administration of business planning, reporting processes, and the provision of reliable and comprehensive advice and recommendations on issues, including governance and risk management and human resource management.
The role has a financial analyst as direct report who will be responsible for developing an Asset Management Plan and financial forecasting.
The governance will impact the Professional Standards Command which will have force wide impact.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

**Your duties will include**:

- Run reports and prepare briefings.
- Identify and report on risk across multiple data sets.
- Manage command establishment to ensure minimum delay in advertising and filling vacancies.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:
**The ability to**:

- develop and monitor budget the budget and maintain an Asset Management Plan that will involve forecasting over the next 5 years.
- establish and maintain governance practices with a view to reduce timelines for all areas of the Professional Standards Command.
- present to the Command Leadership Team on identified risks and issues within the command.
- prepare high level reports on behalf of the command.
- develop and maintain relationships within and outside of the command.
- communicate with and monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the command.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
