About the role:

DWS is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead and manager the HR Function for the DWS Group across Australia and New Zealand.


The role will be providing hands-on operational leadership and coaching on all people matters including performance, employee relations, workplace health and safety, engagement recognition and reward, equality, learning and development, compliance, and performance management.

Additionally, the Head of Human Resources will also direct and ensure that every aspect of HR incorporates the vision, values, and culture of our IT Consulting organisation in consultation with the CEO and executive team.

Skills and ExperienceSubstantial professional experience across a large national or multi-national business in a hands-on Head of Human Resources or equivalent level role (Chief People Officer, Head of People & Culture, Chief Human Resources Office, HR Director, etc.)Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or an equivalent level of professional of experienceKnowledge of both Australian and New Zealand Employment lawA strong commercial focus and influencing skills, with confidence to push-back and redirectCommunicate effectively with authority and subject matter expertiseKnowledge of consultative processes, practices, and management – with strong consultation and direction abilitiesA genuine interest in the well-being of othersRelationship building with a diverse group of people


Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPolicy reviews and development and publishingDay to day operations including managing leave & attendance; both for the HR team and the wider organisationEnsure all HR Processes support the business are legal and effectiveCompliance with all applicable legislation, and parent company initiativesLeading people management activities such as performance and remuneration reviews for all Consultants and internal support staffLeading staff engagement / benefits activitiesResolution of all HR mattersLearning & Development – maintenance, expansion, and reporting of employee trainingCoach and guide managers in effective HR processesManage people risks and ensure all programs support a healthy and safe workplace for all employeesDevelop a team of HR staff who are effective and skilled in their dutiesDesign and implementation of action plans to ensure high performance, quality continuous improvement and teamwork.

Yearly pulse survey and action planWork with colleagues in all group companiesYearly WGEA ReportingMonthly management reports and ad-hoc reporting
