**HR Consultant opportunity**

**About the role**

Our client, a statutory authority, currently seeks a HR Consultant to join them on 6 month contract based in Melbourne CBD. As the HR Consultant, you will provide support, coordinate and administer recruitment, selection and induction activities while providing support for general HR operations and the wider human resources team.

**Responsibilities and duties**
- Recruitment, selection, induction, and probation: under direction of the HR Manager, coordinate and administer recruitment, selection, induction, and probation processes.
- Present information at induction programs, staff information sessions and briefings and via the intranet.
- Project and program improvement: undertake and/or participate in projects and programs that contribute to improving recruitment and selection, HR policies and practices.
- Records and systems administration: accurately establish, maintain and administer a range of records on our digital databases i.e., CHRIS21, MyCareer, Springboard (eRecruitment system), Jira and CM9; manual files and other digital databases.
- Reporting: assist in the maintenance, reporting and analysis of HR data for the HR Monthly, Annual, and other ad hoc Reports.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- HR experience: generalist HR experience in a contemporary HR environment, preferably in the public sector in the areas of recruitment and selection and general HR.
- Project and self-management: proven ability to plan and prioritise own work, multitask and use analytical skills to undertake and participate in projects to improve HR service delivery.
- Systems knowledge and proficiency: demonstrated ability to accurately update, maintain and access information systems and databases, including in at least one HRIS system with an ability to manipulate data and generate meaningful reports

**Qualifications**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or an equivalent level of professional HR experience
- HR experience within a Victorian Public Service department or agency is preferable
