An opportunity exists for a Project Officer, Human Resources to join the Victorian Inspectorate (VI) for a fixed term period until 31 December 2024. The VI is the lead oversight body in Victoria's integrity system, providing oversight of integrity, accountability and investigatory bodies and their officers including IBAC and the Victorian Ombudsman. The VI also plays a key role in Victoria's public interest disclosure scheme.
The position requires a demonstrated understanding of human resource and people management processes across the employment lifecycle. A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as human resources, social sciences or psychology is desirable (but not mandatory). The position is available to backfill a parental leave arrangement.
Job Overview
Working closely with the General Manager, Corporate Services, the Project Officer, Human Resources will support the VI's full suite of recruitment activities including assisting with advertising job positions, facilitating interviews, supporting the onboarding and induction of new employees, supporting the staff departure process, and contributing to annual reporting. The Project Officer, Human Resources will have the opportunity to gain/further their experience of supporting HR processes within the VPS and will also be exposed to other areas of the business through supporting ad-hoc requests as required, as part of a small and collaborative team.
The VI may accommodate hybrid working arrangements for this position by negotiation and agreement in line with business needs.
