**Full Job Description**:
scouted. is pleased to bring to market a career-defining opportunity for a bookkeeper, to work with a financial services business based in South Yarra who pride themselves on a unique, dynamic culture and customer service experience for a portfolio of clients across industries including (but not limited to) Building & Construction, E-Commerce, and Professional Services.
**The Role**:
Communication and relationship building skills are key in this role. Within this authentic business, bookkeepers are a vital part of the client’s success so you must be trustworthy, reliable and act with integrity in all aspects of the job.
**Other key duties may include, but are not limited to the following**:
- Accurate, efficient and timely processing of payroll, cash books, accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, maintaining general ledgers and management reporting
- Preparation of periodic BAS, IAS and other statutory returns
- Leading and managing a team of bookkeepers
- Train and develop staff under your team
- Mentoring junior staff members
- Reviewing work prepared by Bookkeepers, including Accounts Payable and Receivable allocations, bank reconciliation allocations and payroll processing
- Continually challenge, develop and maintain best practice systems and processes
- All aspects of banking, including reconciliations
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
**Required skills**:
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
- Come from an accounting background, or minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within a professional services firm
- Extensive experience with Xero and Receipt Bank or Hubdoc
- Passion to always get the best result for our clients
- Proactive and positive attitude to work
- Strong communication skills - ability to build rapport and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders of not only internally, but on behalf of your clients - acting as their inhouse bookkeeper
- Excellent time management in meeting internal and external deadlines
- Ability to solve problems and add value to clients
- A true team player, able to work well collaboratively and individually
