**The opportunity**:
Join the Reproductive Epidemiology group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) as a Research Assistant for the Australian Hand Difference Register (AHDR). This national database is dedicated to children born with hand and/or arm differences and coordinates research efforts across Australia, involving over 2,500 children.
As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the AHDR Manager and collaborating with The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery. This part-time role (0.3 FTE) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the daily operations of the register and advance important research projects.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Assist with the preparation and submission of ethics documentation and maintain ethics and local governance approvals.
Assist and contribute to data generation for research and publications.
Liaise with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operation and data collection.
Prepare documents for monthly meetings and assist with various ad hoc tasks to support the AHDR team.
**What we need from you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in science, psychology, social work or similar
Experience working with REDCap Database
Experience working with Ethical Review Manager (ERM)
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in research, particularly in a qualitative setting
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with diverse teams
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
