**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Knowledge Bank Lead is responsible for the strategic development and rollout of the Knowledge Bank, a dynamic neighbourhood-based knowledge system, in collaboration with the Manager Strategy and Projects. The Knowledge Bank will captures community feedback, ideas and experiences at the neighbourhood level from across the organisation. It supports City of Melbourne in developing a deeper understanding of community strengths, needs and aspirations to drive better investment and outcomes for community.

The Knowledge Bank is a core function of the Community Development Branch and this senior role will lead and implement policies, systems and processes to gather, analyse and use community voice knowledge at City of Melbourne, including creation of actionable, data-driven insights to inform decision making at all levels of the organisation. This role will work closely with the City Data Branch to continue to grow and evolve the capability of the Knowledge Bank through emerging technologies and capability.

- Analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills including understanding of the complexities of working with diverse communities.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal skills, including the ability to translate complex data and information into clear and concise insights and reports.
- Excellent relationship management skills, including the capacity to work in a dynamic team environment and collaboratively across multidisciplinary groups.
- Demonstrated experience leading a research, knowledge management or data system project, including managing stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing an online data system, including experience in data analysis and reporting.

**The Knowledge Bank Lead will ideally possess the following;**
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in social sciences, knowledge management, data communications or a similar field.
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and innovative within a changing environment.
- Proficient skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, interpretation and visualisation, including experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI, NVivo and GIS.
- Sound understanding of community development, engagement or stakeholder management. Experience desirable.
