At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), we are committed to achieving innovative, ground-breaking health and medical research that fundamentally improves the quality of life for all people.

We’re looking for an efficient and innovative individual to join our Finance team in the position of Finance Administrator. The position will maintain SAHMRI’s finance system (Oracle ERP Cloud) and related administrative processes to meet the changing needs of SAHMRI. You will be the first point of contact for Oracle queries across the Institute and provide basic finance systems support to the Finance team. The role also provides support and assistance to the Accounts Payable/Receivable team.

Although the position is advertised at full-time, we are happy to consider part-time arrangements as part of our flexible working arrangements policy.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

- System maintenance including:

- Maintenance of supplier data
- Maintenance of user accounts
- System Support & Training:

- Provide level 1 and 2 support to users in troubleshooting and problem solving in conjunction with the external support provider contract.
- Manage the Oracle Support mailbox and address queries in a timely manner
- Lead training and on-boarding of staff in Oracle system functions
- Product:

- Research and test new features under direction
- Support to Accounts Payable/Receivable team:

- Processing invoices, answering queries and providing ad-hoc support during peak times

About You

Essential
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel
- Tech-savvy and interested in finance system administration
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Detail-oriented and capable of consistently working to a high level of accuracy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience communicating with a variety of stakeholders
- Pro-active with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Ability to collaborate and train other finance staff
- Agility and flexibility working as part of the finance team

Desirable
- Experience using Oracle Cloud or similar ERP software, preferably within a Finance team environment
- Experience within Finance environment, in particular Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Experience and knowledge of accounting systems
- Experience documenting processes and procedures
- Driving continuous improvements across a team or organisation
