**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Corporate Governance and Policy / Internal Audit** team as a** Principal Legislative and Policy Compliance Officer, **where you will be responsible for:

- Develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate the legislative and policy compliance program.
- Ensure that systems support organizational compliance with legislation and SA Health Directives.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating risks.
- Provide expert advice to Executive members, Divisional Directors, and key stakeholders on legislation and policy requirements.
- Contribute to the development of the Women's and Children's Health Network procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Ability to interpret the meaning of legislation/policy to assess implications within a healthcare setting.
- Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- Effective analytical and conceptual skills, including the capacity to think and act innovatively.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet timelines.
- Demonstrated experience in management and/or leadership roles especially in leading compliance activities.
- Knowledge of audit/compliance methodology and risk management principles and processes.
