**Role**:
The Assistant Principal
- School Operations at Truganina North Secondary School (Interim Name) together with the School Principal and members of the Leadership team will:

- Co-lead the Planning, development and management of the School Wide Academic Calendar
- Lead the planning, development, construction and management of School Timetabling systems & processes to ensure learning outcomes are optimised across all curriculum programs.
- Lead the daily operations of the school including management of staff absences - daily organisation, yard duty rosters, major events and Professional Practice Days
- Lead and Manage the organisation, communication and analysis of external (e.g. NAPLAN) and internal assessment data (e.g. PAT testing results, attendance) regarding student achievement and student engagement.
- Lead and support the use of Learning Management systems (e.g Compass) across the School.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on attendance at the school and cohort levels to Principal Team
- Action and further develop with members of Principal class team Reporting and Assessment systems, processes and practices.
- Co-lead and collaborate with Principal, Leadership and Administration Teams and event organisers to coordinate the staffing and logístical aspects around major school events (e.g. school camps, excursions) and special activities.

**Leadership/Other Duties**
- Foster a positive learning climate and culture of high expectations, challenge and engagement.
- Support the ongoing development of the Teaching & Learning program to be consistent with DET standards in the implementation of the Victorian Curriculum ensuring high expectations, relevance, challenge and engagement for all students.
- Work with the Principal Team to support teachers in quality instruction, curriculum planning and implementation.
- Support the development of the School’s public image through online initiatives and publications.
- Be an active participant in the leading of learning and undertake a teaching commitment
- Complete all additional tasks as requested by the School Principal.

**The Assistant Principal for Senior School will commence in Term 1, 2024.**
