We are excited to announce Planning Officer opportunities within our Planning Land Use Strategy Housing & Infrastructure (PLUSHI) division.

**The Role**

As a **Planning Officer** (Urban Development Program), you will support and assist the implementation of the NSW Government’s Urban Development Program (UDP) for monitoring and coordinating housing supply and infrastructure delivery in metro regions.

The UDP provides a central forum for NSW Government agencies, local councils, and industry to align plans and build consensus on priorities for land use planning and infrastructure investment to support housing supply, and work to resolve critical issues and delays to delivery.

You will support the delivery and coordination of land use planning and infrastructure by undertaking tasks relating to the UDP including planning and infrastructure research and analysis, and participate in business improvement initiatives and collate data and information to identify issues and independently recommend options and solutions to achieve planning program commitments.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Ability to produce high quality work on the Urban Development Program and respond to enquiries in a timely manner within applicable legislation, regulatory and policy frameworks
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to support forecast housing and employment growth
- Manage work program objectives and timelines in a high-pressure work environment of high political and media interest, and diverse stakeholder interests.

**Essential requirements**
- Degree in town planning, environmental management, economics, project management, property or a related field.
