The role of Senior Urbanist-Planner involves leading a range of deliverables, including development approvals, planning scheme amendments, strategies, and studies. You will also be responsible for preparing fee proposals, assessing technical documentation, managing sub-consultants, and delivering projects.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Planning or a related field;
- 2-5 years of urban planning experience in a professional services firm or state/local government;
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills;
- An in-depth knowledge of the NSW planning framework;
- Excellent communication and writing skills;
- A commitment to striving for excellence.
As an experienced Senior Urbanist-Planner, you will be able to:
- Work collaboratively across a range of projects and services;
- Develop your skills in project management, delegation, and supervision;
- Build on your existing stakeholder relationships and networks;
- Develop a broader skillset through working with economists, urban designers, and other professionals.
We offer a competitive salary of around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
