The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Associate-Design with a strong background in urban design and development to join our team as a Design Lead. This role will involve leading moderate to large-scale projects, providing oversight of multiple projects and developing the skills of others. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, deliver high-quality work and manage small to large projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Leading project teams to develop innovative and effective design concepts
- Managing project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery
- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure cohesive and integrated designs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture or related degree/discipline
- 5-8+ years of experience in urban design and development, preferably within a professional services firm or state/local government
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on multiple projects concurrently
- A sound knowledge of the NSW planning framework and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other stakeholders
- Proven experience in preparing high-quality reports, proposals and presentations
